Absolutely, this is Feline Incarnate. My local felines have demonstrated much the same Mighty Hunter behavior with gophers, a proud moment for all except for the gopher blood on the bedspread. There was a lot of feral growling, very dramatic. My sister's four (in Oregon) have brought her mice, birds, and small rabbits. She claims she's waiting for them to show up with a deer.
