Oh my god, I SO hear you. During that whole period when names like Nicolas Cage were being bandied about, I completely lost heart and figured whatever they did, it was going to suck. Thank the gods Bryan Singer came on board! He pulled the film back from the brink of monstrosity and made it how it HAD to be made. I think you'll enjoy the result. ;)
