Fuck

This is Not. Getting. Better.

I can see I'm going to be up most of the night with this. Damnit.

This happened about a month ago. A loooooong slow gutache, occasionally sharp but mostly just draining. I feel somewhat nauseous. My dad said a hot water bottle would help, but it's only made it hurt more.

I'm gonna try some chamomile tea. Maybe heat on the inside will work.

Ow. Owowowowow.

ETA: It's a bit better now. Feels like the tea I didn't toss back up might have had some effect. I think I can sleep, though I expect to wake up in a couple of hours with my gut, much like Sam's, screaming Now, now, before it's too late!

I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow.

If you have any peppermint essential oil you could rub that on your stomach. I've got a bad stomach ache at the moment too and just rubbed some on and it's starting to feel better already.

Otherwise, smoke that pot you found!

Oh, I tried the pot, believe me. It just made me nauseous. *grrr*

If external heat is aggravating the condition, it could be an infection. Do you still have your appendix?

[identity profile] serai1.livejournal.com 2006-08-22 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, but this isn't in that area. I know when my appendix is unhappy, and this ain't it. This is my gut taking a really fucking long time to deal with getting rid of something it doesn't like. If it turns out like last time (and it feels like it), round about 3:00 or 4:00 I'll have a hell of a toilet session.

I just threw up most of the chamomile tea, too. Oh well, so much for bright ideas.

*whimper*

My aunt had a series of really bad gut aches and it turned out to be an infection in the colon. Can't think of the right word for it, but it took surgery eventually, a few months in. Not appendicitis, but similar. Anyway, a gutache that repeats like that is worth checking. (Me, I can get 'em from soft ice-cream. But that's another question!)

You may have diverticulitis. My mom had it and my brother has it too, and he's still young enough that it was quite a surprise that it showed up. It's hard to diagnose, but it worries me that you're not getting any relief and actually threw up the tea. Please see the doctor if you're not better soon.

Thanks for your concern, hon. I would be glad to see a doctor if that were a possibility. But seeing as I'm uninsured and have no money, that's not actually an option. So I just have to hope it's not something serious. :(

Oh, sweetie, I wish I could do more, but believe me I will say a prayer for you, and I'll send you healing energy along with it. It's so hard to not have enough money.

How are you at present, dear?
I whish I could do something and I hope you feel better soon.
But if the gutache continues, search the advise of some friend or acquaintance working in the medical field.
*hugs you tight*
