Thanks! Kliban was so well-known for his cats that the really amazing, clever and sardonic stuff he did was all but forgotten.

What got me pissed about the icon is that it took some effort to make it, as I had to cut and clean and resize and all that - it wasn't a little five-minute jobbie. And it's not like I would have said no had I been asked.

Kliban! Of course! I knew the style looked familiar - I was wondering.

I had a set of pillowcases with the cat in the red high top keds on it. Whenever I travelled I had my travel pillow in one of them and sadly I buried my first cat, my Alien who I had as a companion for twenty years, wrapped in the other one. TMI, I know. I still miss that cat.
