Couldn're resist this one, either. This is from today's Hollywood Reporter. It's an FYC ad for the Best Adapted Screenplay award (Fran, Philippa and PJ), and the quote on the ad is:

I'm glad that you are with me, Samwise Gamgee.
Here at the end of all things.

How is it that I can see these films so many times and still get torn up about the goings-on? Do I have some kind of adult brain doo-hicky all out of whack?


P.S. OK, I made some wallpapers of this one, too. Included the original formatting of the quote from the Oscar ad, just moved up a bit to fit.

Oooooooh, thank you thank you thank you thank you for the pics.

I wonder why in the poster they used Tolkien's original line rather than the one in the movie (I'm glad to be here with you, or whatever)? Both versions are moving and lovely and bawlworthy and all that; just wondering.

As far as I can remember, they did use the original line. But I shall observe closely the next time I see ROTK, just to be sure. :)
