The beauty of recycling

There's been a spate of rather excellent essaying around here lately. Of course, there's [livejournal.com profile] teasel's usually thoughtful and intriguing work, and [livejournal.com profile] rabidsamfan got in on it, and like that. All of which got me thinking...

Back when I was posting on TORn, before I got all disgusted with that place, I wrote a number of long posts that I suppose qualify as essays. On a number of LOTR-related topics. Would any of you be interested in reading them? I could post them here for your perusal and snickering commentary.

They're all stashed in this bigass file on my hard drive, and keep making meeping lonely noises because nobody will ever read them again. It's creeping me out making me sad whenever I see the file name.

So, anyone interested?

Yes, I'd be interested! I remember when you used to post on TORN's boards. I read a few but then I migrated to other boards and stopped reading it.

bring it on

Absolutely, it would be great to read them, even if I spotted one on TORN sometime or other. I've never had the time and energy to read TORN regularly.

Have been vaguely thinking of more posts about FotR, now that I've pigged out on it been reviewing the Extended DVD, something about visions and slow-mo ... but the *whole thing* is a vision. This is that movies are about. Have so far failed to refine the topic.

YES. Please.

Gave up on TORn's boards a long time ago - although there's someone new (I think) - Larner, who's been posting some interesting things. I took a quick peek the other day and actually read for a while!

Ooh, I would love to see them. :)

Me, me.

[identity profile] rubynye.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
That would be nifty!

[identity profile] teasel.livejournal.com 2004-07-20 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
That would be extremely cool. I've never been brave enough to venture into TORN's dark and snarky confines, and it would be nifty to see what you've gotten up to in there.

I think that would be great. I'd like to friend you then if that is alright.

Me, too! Never really been to TORN, so it would be all new to me. Bring it on.
