Can't you just imagine him lying in bed with Brona while she was dying, murmuring this for a lullabye?

It's straight out of the old Universal Wolfman movies, that monster-with-a-heart thing. Lawrence Talbot was very much like Ethan in that sense. LOL, you know, the Talbot reference flew right over my head when I heard it on the show. I didn't get it until I was reading a post online that mentioned it, and I saw the name, and thought OH MY FUCKING GOD THEY WENT THERE. It's delicious.

But he is a real mensch, that's for sure. The image of decency and compassion, as well as Proof of the Goddess. *sigh*

I am been making icons, by the way. Do you think I should go ahead and post the ones that are finished over at aliensouldream's comm, or wait until I've gotten more of them? I've got eight so far, not counting this one <--, but half of them are of Ethan, and I'm working on making icons for most of the characters. What do you think?

Oh, I haven't posted it. The challenge instructions say July 31 is the posting day. But I always like to have someone read my stuff over before posting (I guess I'm insecure, LOL), so you'll get a first look at it.

Yep, or if you wanted to you could put it in a post filtered to me on LJ. That's the way I used to do it with shirebound and Honey, when they did beta for me. Whichever you want is fine.

I have it. I use WordPerfect, and it converted it perfectly. I'll send it back soon as I can get it done. May take a while, since I'm having lunch and then I'll have to take a break and lie down for a little while, but you'll have it back by tonight.

Oh, it just leaped out at me when I heard it that night. If Ethan ever sang, it would be something like this, I think - something simple and heartfelt, the kind of thing anyone could sing. And the song really sounds like a song from that era, doesn't it?

Goddess, I love Tom Waits. No one else sees life the way he does.
