I have just about had it with TORn

Goddamn, but I'm pissed off at these people. First they post wrong information about the ticket prices for the "Ringers" documentary showing at the Newport Beach Film Festival without ever bothering to confirm it. I spent over an hour trying to get through on the line to buy my tickets only to find out that the tickets were $50, not $15. Then when I sent an email to TORn pointing out their mistake and telling them they really ought to confirm such info close to the release date, this is what I get in response:

we aren't in charge of the Newport FF, if you have a gripe, take it up with them

That's it. No "Gee, sorry there was so much trouble" or "We'll give them a call and see what happened" or "Man, that bites, but I sympathize". No, just a snotty brushoff. Way to show concern about a problem with your damn site, asshole. Fucking hell.

You'd think a site supposedly dedicated to the fans would show a little concern when fans are inconvenienced like this. Acting like it's not their problem when they publish bad information - how completely unprofessional. That kind of thing just burns me up. At the very least a pretense of concern would have been nice. Seems TORn and Creation Entertainment are cut from the same cloth, after all.

That's just obnoxious. Since they're the central clearing house, as it were, for a lot of LOTR fans, people rely on them to have accurate information. It wouldn't have killed them to doublecheck the info and correct it. Especially since "Ringers" is a project by one of their own! You'd think they'd WANT the correct info out there!

Lord have mercy...

Unbelievable.

Or maybe not.

We live in a world where people don't own up to their mistakes, and customer service is at an all-time low. This makes TORn look bad, but maybe at this point they just don't care.

$50?

Well damn and double damn.

Guess I won't be seeing that. Didn't cost that much to see the boys for real.

And, way to go, TORn. As if anyone would ever have heard of it otherwise. It would have been nice to have the correct info. Just sayin'.
