When the Fellowship leaves Rivendell with the Ring, Aragorn, Gimli, Boromir, and Legolas are astounded by Sam's ability to create tasty feasts out of whatever they bring to camp -- and treat him with a deference that leaves Sam amazed, and Frodo delighted.
