Picked up a copy of Variety today, and read in Army Archerd's column that Elijah's on the verge of signing to star in a new adaptation of A Boy and His Dog. Interesting, because you know, I wouldn't have thought of him for Vic. (But then, I wouldn't have pegged him for Frodo, either, which just goes to show.) I guess he's still on the track of rejecting the sweet-pretty, what with Vic doing all that raping and pillaging. It'll be interesting to see if he can handle Harlan Ellison's dialogue. It's pretty sharp stuff, and not really like anything he's done before. I do hope they get a Puli to play Blood this time, though.
What I'd really like to know is what the few remaining tinhats will say about him getting married. They're still waving the flag, from what I understand, so they might have a hard time squaring it with him finally making the leap. (Good on you, Elijah. You're both damn lucky, I'd say!)

Do you have the link to that article by any chance?

Date: Sunday, April 2nd, 2006 03:16 am (UTC)I guess, after 30+ years, it's ready to be remade. Wasn't really a classic, in any case, first time around. (Don Johnson? yah.)
And married??

So my bet is April Fool's on us. Am I right?
If I am wrong, I am delighted on both counts, but I kinda doubt it!!

Well, he didn't make it to thirty.
Second thought:

Serai? April Fool's? Hmmm.
Not sure.
Third thought:
His mom probably isn't too happy about it. Unless it wasn't that much of a whim and she was there, too.
Fourth thought:
Huzzah! Good on you, Elijah. You're both damn lucky, I'd say!
Not familiar with either book or movie, but he'll have to watch out or he'll end up with a 'type' after all.
