You know, if I was certain they were burying themselves, I would be overjoyed.

But WAY too often, I come up against the irrational, illogical and baffling knee-jerk reaction that causes regular Americans who are in the process of being screwed by this administration to STILL resist joining the opposition. It's as if they'd rather swallow the crap, ignore the fact that they have been consistently lied to, and welcome the condescention of this administration rather than call themselves democrat.

WTF? These rethugs have given us (the opposition) gifts like these wrapped up like Christmas presents for the past 5 years. By all rights, these guys should have been kicked out on their collective behinds years ago.

I begin to think that the average American really is what the rest of the world has thought we were all along.

I agree with Ariel. I have come to the conclusion that the Democrats/liberals (myself included) tend to reason out arguments, painstakingly based on logic, reason, legality, the Constitution, the reasonable thing to do; whereas, the Republican spin machine (although equally intelligent and knowledgeable), knows much better what to do. They come out with stupid sound bites designed to instill fear or hatred.

We liberals will argue the logic of getting out of Iraq's civil war (or at least having an exit plan) and they will have their puppets spouting things like, "we must fight them in their streets before they are fighting us in ours." *heaves big sigh* Shades of Viet Nam.

Or we argue the cutting edge science about stem cell research while they proclaim that we "must not step over the moral line," whatever the fuck that is.

But this is how they win.

Condi is intelligent and knows exactly what she is doing and because of that, I think she is a very low form of individual--although perhaps she has no choice if she wants to keep her job. Too bad if her job is that important to her.
