Bloody typical. First they fuck up the environment, then, when the undeniable fact are staring them in the face, they try everything they can to sweep it under the carpet. Well, they can't. The fact that, for instance, my parents were having lunch on their balcony today, when it's frigging early february, should be proof in itself.
The fact that they're trying to bribe those scientists is proof enough they know they've been screwing up, but all they care about is bloody money! I'd like to feed them to the polar bears!!!
That's despicable, but at least it's being reported in a slightly more timely fashion than it once was. I'm hoping that this country wakes up and stays awake long enough to put the required pressure on government and industry to make the changes we need to make. I don't mean to be unduly pessimistic, but from what I know of the ice core studies at the poles and the way water works in its various states, I have to say that I think it quite possible that we have maybe a year or two to make some really drastic changes, if we're damned lucky.
