UK gives "intelligent design" the boot.

Good to see somebody gets it, government regulation-wise!

Thank God! Really. While I may (for the sake of argument) believe that God created the universe, that's a matter of faith, not science. To try to prove or disprove the existence of a true deity (as opposed to a more highly evolved being from a different world) is insulting to both religion and science. If one follows the Christian teachings, one must think immediately of Christ's words to Thomas about the greater value of those who have not seen, yet still believe. Why would intelligent Christians try to desecrate the very foundation of faith upon which Christ built his church?

Oh, I forgot: these are not intelligent Christians. My bad. [/catty]

Now I get to look forward to waking up in the morning to find out whether my logic is as dicey as I fear it might be, given how tired I am. *headdesksnore*

*redefines self as follower of Christ, not Christian*

Most of the teachers I know in my part of the UK, including myself, would refuse to teach anything to do with creationism and intelligent design within any science lesson. Over here the majority see any type of extreme belief/action as the work of nutters and we tend to avoid that like the plague.
Living in the UK does have its advantages. :)
