Because I'm such a film geek...
Tuesday, March 8th, 2005 04:58 pm...and because I'm a sucker for struggling filmmakers, I request that you go to the following site:
Nobody Wants Your Film
This is the promo site for a new independent movie about...an independent movie. The movie's called Nobody Wants Your Film, and the makers of this film are in the unenviable position of being told exactly that by the studios and money men. Which is ironic since that's what the movie's about. (Life, meet Art. Art, Life. Shake!)
Having watched the three trailers on the site, I can say that I think the movie looks very cool and seems to have good, sharp wit. I'd love to see it. So I'm asking that all of you go over there, check it out, and register with them. If you do that, then they'll be able to take the tallies of how many people are visiting and signing up, and use the numbers to prove to the money men that YES, somebody does want their film. Which is all to the good.
Because, for my money, you can't have enough Steve Buscemi performances in this world.
