A lovely find
Sunday, January 8th, 2006 01:32 pmI have just stumbled across the perfect Sam/Rosie song, and so I post it here for those of you who would like to hear it, along with lyrics.
Once again, it's a ballad from Jethro Tull. Dang, for a rock and roll band, they are just so hobbity.
Wond'ring Aloud (YSI link, because you really do have to hear it.)
by Ian Anderson
Wond'ring aloud
how we feel today.
Last night sipped the sunset
my hands in her hair.
We are our own saviours
as we start both our hearts beating life
into each other.
Wond'ring aloud
will the years treat us well.
As she floats in the kitchen,
I'm tasting the smell
of toast as the butter runs.
Then she comes, spilling crumbs on the bed
and I shake my head.
And it's only the giving
that makes you what you are.
Now tell me that doesn't sound like Sam. Or Rosie, for that matter.
Heehee! I love finding stuff like this.
