This is just...beautiful. I've never liked Rosie bashing, even when I've had trouble resolving the idea of Sam loving both her and Frodo. And as far as that goes, the way you present it here just...makes sense. Also, I think you capture Sam's voice perfectly here. I could really hear him talking.
