I can relate. I'm new to writing LoTR fic, but I used to post a lot of original poetry/fic to groups and lists...and no one ever gave me feedback, other than "I don't get it" (and wouldn't say *why*, even when it was the most basic, simple concepts alive), no one ever mentioned me to anyone...it was really irritating. So I said "F*ck it, I'm just going to shower myself with the love."
And I'm very new to the genre that is LoTR. I've been writing and reading the stuff for a few weeks...I think since around Xmas. So I'm going to read some of your stuff, I promise! (I already read the Cookie Monster thingy, which was too funny.)
