Yeah. In a way, I kind of try not to blame them, poor confused fools. It's damn near impossible to form a coherent worldview out of that book WITHOUT ignoring some of it. When you look at the thing as a whole, it simply makes no sense. Constant self-contradiction, flights of illogic, weird ancient magic, etc. How is a modern human supposed to get anything out of it?
Just goes to show what a trainwreck you get when you try to combine the beliefs and mindsets of two radically different populations, i.e. ancient Hebrews and ancient Greeks. It would be tough to find two more diametrically opposed worldviews.
