So what do you do when your browsers (all of them) start insisting that you have to download the Flash player in order to see anything - and you already have? Just today all my browsers are telling me I lack the plugin, but I ALREADY HAVE IT. I've always had it. It updates every time Adobe needs it to.

This is coming from the Comedy Central website. THAT is where the players keep insisting on Flash, even though it's installed and works fine on every other site. (This has been a recurring problem at that site in the past.) Could any of you take a look and see if it's doing this on your end, too?

Does the player come up fine when you go to either of those pages? Or is it telling you to download Flash?

When I go to the first link (daily show), the videos don't play for me. It doesn't tell me I need anything, it just has a big white space where the video is supposed to be. Clicking on links for other videos results in the same thing. This is using firefox.

Second link (Colbert) behaving exactly the same.

Yup, they're both asking me to install Adobe Flash player, and I have it too.

EDIT: Just for the heck of it, I downloaded Adobe Flash 11 (again), installation successful, I still can't get the videos to play. They still say I need Adobe Flash. *sigh*

I've had this trouble before, but I never knew if it was just my pooter or what. Good to hear it's the website and not me. :)
