Hey, folks!

Circumstances being what they are - pretty damn grim - I find I have to start selling off some of my stuff. One of the things I'm putting up at eBay this week is this lovely drawing by Aina Baggins.

She drew it for me some years ago. Alas, I must part with it in order to have some chance of paying my electric bill this month. If you or anyone else you know would like to have this lovely thing, you can either bid on it there on eBay, or let me know you want to buy it and I'll yank it off auction for you. The Buy It Now price I have is $19.95, and mailing would be a couple of dollars on top of that. (I have a handling charge on it there, but I would drop that for any LJ friends.)

I'm sorry to have to sell off lovely things like this, but I'm struggling desperately just to keep the lights on. (Forget frivolities like going out, seeing movies, eating away from home, or anything else - I basically stay home all the time, with Netflix my one thing that isn't bare bones bill-paying, and that's because it's only $8 a month.) So it's come to this, sad to say.

I have other LOTR items, like Japan mags, Oscar ads and such. Like I said, if you're interested or know anyone who is, reply here.

And PLEASE pimp this post and let anyone who's looking for fan gifts know to ask me. Like I said, need to create some revenue here.

ETA: Sold already! Wow, thanks so much! I have some more wonderful F/S stuff I'll be selling (some slash art and beautiful F/S doujinshi from Japan, and other lovely goodies), and I'll post again either today or tomorrow, so check back to my LJ. (I will post the items here on LJ before I put them up on eBay, to give any friends first crack.)

ETA the Second: For any of you who are here from other posts or comms, I'm selling stuff at this post here. F/S, other LOTR and there will be some other stuff as well. I'll keep the items just to LJ for two days after adding, then they will be at eBay. (I can start a Buy It Now there as well if you don't want to buy directly.)

I do! This one sold already, but I have a couple of beautiful drawings by Trilliah that I'm also going to post about. Thanks so very much, hon. I have some other lovely things I'm reluctantly going to put up, so I'll post again. I'm not quite at the point of begging donations, thank the gods, but things are terribly tight. (Three years applying for jobs and only ONE interview. Sheesh.) I appreciate the kind thought! *hugs*

Oh and KM is sending you a YuleCard, but he says if you want to sell it (because he says it is obviously a collectors item worth thousands of dollars) he says you're not allowed to, but he will send you an extra mince pie with the card. I think it might be a KnittedMincePie so you may not be able to eat it - but it's the thought that counts! (KM says)

Oh, I am SO anticipating my Yule card! It is always one of the highlights of the holidays. Please tell KM that I would never dream of selling any part of his Magnificence, as I am well aware of how awesome an honor it is to have his image in my humble home.

A big hug to KP, and all the Knitted Hobbits. Thank you for the offer of hearth, though I think it will be a very long time before I can afford to travel, I will definitely visit in my dreams.

P.S. I am putting other items in a new post here on LJ before they go up on eBay, so that any friends can let me know if they want them first, and I will be updating that post with items as i get them picc'ed and/or scanned. *hug*

I have thousands of dollars worth of LOTR and Elijah stuff I should sell, too. Most of it is in boxes in my basement so it really doesn't make sense to keep it. I've had quite a few DVD giveways over the years at LJ so it makes sense to give my friends the first shot at the LOTR things.

I've put up a couple more things since yesterday, and will be adding more tomorrow, so just check the next posts here and you'll see. There will be F/S, other slash, general LOTR, and perhaps some stuff that isn't LOTR related, in case folks would like to see things that might make nice gifts for non-LOTR fans.

I too have tons of fan-related stuff I don't really look at anymore, which is why I'm selling. Besides desperately needing the money, I figure it should be in the hands of folks who will appreciate more now.

I was a temp specializing in data entry here in L.A. But the injury I sustained in 2008, along with my age and the rampant unwillingness to hire has pretty much aced me out of the job market. Seems I'm just not reliable enough, or young enough, or maybe it's my pesky unwillingness to work for free, *sigh*.

I agree. The problem is there aren't nearly as many people interested in LOTR stuff as there were when I bought all the things I have.
