So that's it, then?

Okay, well. I'm pretty pissed off here. Apparently that is ALL WE'RE GOING TO GET, and I'm seriously angry.
Remember my post a couple of days ago? Going on about Ethan and how fucking weird his arc had gotten? I FUCKING KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP. And this is what it was. Instead of trusting that he might get renewed, Logan decided to cram (at least) two seasons' worth of story into a couple of episodes, tying up what should have been a five- or six-year arc in a forced, clumsy denouement that answered precisely NO QUESTIONS AT ALL.
So everybody just wandered off? Now London is full of monsters with nothing to do? What the FUCK? What the fuck was even the POINT of all this? What about Jeckyll? Is he going to go crazy, or cure people, or start killing everyone? What about Lily? What, she just went off and became a coat check girl? WHAT ABOUT ETHAN? How did he become a werewolf? Yeah, yeah, Katenay, BUT HOW, GODDAMMIT???
It's just so fucking obvious that there was a TON more story here, but Logan got scared and decided to rush everything. That climax just felt empty. After that incredible save Ethan pulled off the last time Vanessa wanted him to kill her, I'm supposed to believe he'd just capitulate this time? No way, dude.
I'm so pissed at Logan, I can't even. I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather have had an organic season ender and the uncertainty of whether it gets renewed than this rushed, forced, thin ending, that answered nothing and cut off so much. It's sad, and I'm sad now. This was going to be an epic series, and instead it just... petered out. (And no, I don't consider VERY LOUD GUNPLAY to be any kind of energetic or engaging ending. In fact, it can be more depressing and sad than something much quieter.)
So yet again Josh Hartnett managed to drag my ass into something that ended up pissing me off. Just... FUCK.

This really was an absolute waste of an amazing cast and production team. They deserved better. PD was always uneven but there was some kind of goal. This season was just so weird. I feel they had all these good ideas but didn't know how to properly execute them.
Well, time to create my own head canon - Vanessa overpowers Dracula, she and Ethan live together happily ever after, especially when Dr Jekyll finds a cure for lycanthropy. Henry Jekyll bangs Victor, Victors realises who is one true love is and gives up his obsession with Lily. Lily goes on a feminist rampage and takes over the world. I don't really care about Dorian so idk. Malcolm babysits Vanessa and Ethan's kids. Caliban/John Clare and his family leave London and live somewhere sunny and with lots of fresh air (Victor helped his son get healthy again and he never died). Anything else? I have no strong feeling about Hecate but she's okay and idk helps Lily.
