Pumpkin spent some time here this morning while my parents went out to the market (they babysit her when her mom's working and she's not in school). While she was here, she spun a great story off the image of a dragon painted on a Chinese fan I have, all about a nice witch named Luna who thought she should be a bad witch because her friends were. This witch made potions to turn people into dragons, good and bad, but the potions were all the same color (purple). And because she wasn't very good at being a witch, she never labelled her potions, so she kept giving the wrong ones and never got the results she wanted.

It was a very cool story, and I asked her to continue it the next times she comes over. Pumpkin always has trouble jump-starting her imagination, because she's in the habit of trying to think everything out before she speaks. So I'm encouraging her to just speak, and making up stories seems to be a good way to learn that.

Did you get the rain you were hoping for? We got a nice long night of rain. It was wonderful lying in bed listening to that. No thunder, though. *haz a sad*

We got rain! And today is sorta cold and cloudy and windy, which is a real treat.
