Another icon! Again, pic courtesy of shadowfax8. Thanks, darlin'!
This is one of my favorite examples of how beautifully PJ & Co. adapted and condensed the book, and how damn perfect the actors were for their roles. In one gentle, forgiving smile, Sean Astin summed up everything Sam was feeling at finding his master alive, and conveyed the brief but achingly lovely moment of their reunion...

Because, well...you know.
Still totally messed up from lack of sleep. Must go out and obtain Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, as well as go pick up my latest issue of MovieStar from the Japanese bookstore downtown. Then it's chatting withgoldilocks_took and Frodo-esque tonight, as well as maybe getting together with a couple of folks still here in LA.
A little tidbit for you all - the lyrics to the Proclaimers' song that Billy sang at the TORn party:
