Keith goes after Fox and the Repugs for the shite surrounding Mr. Bill's interview

(At that link, you can either read the transcript or watch the clip.)

God, I love listening to this guy. Not only is he saying everything I wish I could say, he's doing it on national television. Hell, he calls Bush a coward point-blank. Plain-speaking and relentless.

And am I loving Bill Clinton just now? You bet your ass I am. I've always liked him, he was a wonderful president, and the shit that's been said about him by these asswipe troglodytes has always pissed me off. So to hear him finally say all the things he must have been thinking for nearly ten years now is unbelievably cathartic. (Just imagine how it must feel for him!)

And he was so eloquent and precise even in that moment of anger. It was embarrassing, frankly, to listen to this man and compare him with the friggin' baboon that's in the White House now, who can barely hold a sentence together and actually believes he's god-chosen. The same thing happened when I watched Spain's President Aznar on a Spanish talk show a couple of years ago - I wanted to melt into a little puddle of shame at how intelligent, knowledgable and erudite that man was, and at the realization of how our country must look to the world, with such a deluded moron at our head. It's...just too painful.

So don't believe fuck-all about the whole "Clinton explodes!" bullshit. He was focused, intense and given a chance to call those Fox assholes on their bullshit, he took it with both hands and was spectacular. I hope you can watch that clip, because the transcript, as good as it is, just doesn't get across the experience of watching him go off on his detractors.

I do so miss that man.

That Clinton interview was great. The interviewer kept trying to sidetrack him, but he wouldn't let it happen. He was tough and smart, and you're right, he makes Dubbya look like a Neanderthal.

We have nothing but your word, and your word has long since ceased to mean anything.

Wildly fangirls KO.

Whatever Clinton's personal issues, he was a damn good president. He never screwed the country now, did he?

I swear, I've been around for over half a century now, and I've seen them come and I've seen them go. Clinton was the best president I've seen, and Bush Jr. has been by far and away the worst. Not too many presidents actually seriously damage the country they lead, but he certainly has.

*tries to stop hyperventilating*

I never admired Clinton more than when I saw the interview.

The contrast is painful. As was the predictable spin put on it.

Anyone notice how when Democratic presidents leave office, all the charitable causes they get involved in? How they become statesmen? And when the Republican presidents leave office, they retire, play golf, ride horses and become well-paid board members?

When I heard "Clinton Explodes!" I thought, "what, did he show an actual emotion?" Then I got to watch footage of the actual interview, and found myself cheering aloud, and reminded of why I voted for him all over again. Some stupid commentator said he seemed "out of control", but I've rarely seen someone more *in* control.

Oh god, there must be someway we can get him back in office! I'm sitting here practically applauding. And the way he called Chris Wallace on the carpet - that brat isn't half the reporter his father was - and probably knows it, so that's why he works for those, what did you call them, babe, "troglodytes". He was together, trying to be concise and Chris kept talking over him - which is always the sign of someone who got caught out and shown up for an idiot. Go Bill!!
