You may not have heard about this. I wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't. It's not like the MSM is actually talking about the fact that the Supreme Court of this country has just killed Freedom of Speech.

I knew this was coming back when Troglodyte and Darth Vader installed that neo-con miscreant Roberts as Chief Justice. All those that claimed he would not rule on party lines, that he was really a reasonable jurist, were either unbelievably naive or unconscionably mendacious. He has ALWAYS voted along the most neo-con lines, and his coterie of followers on the court have trucked along happily behind him, eviscerating what little freedom we have left bit by bit. That this was coming was inevitable, just a matter of time.

So the unofficial corporate ownership of the United States is now officially underway. The Founding Fathers must be weeping tears of blood. Shit, I can't even find the heart for a rousing A-S-S-H-O-L-E chorus. This is just that vile.

OMG, I love this man So. Very. Much. that I can hardly stand it. Whereas usually his Special Comments are full of indignation and pointed fury at the tribe of grunting Cro-Magnons that currently hunker in and around the White House, this time he can barely keep from braying with laughter at this bubble-headed nitwit's bout of intellectual diarrhea. I mean, when a Secretary of State reaches this level of chuckalicious ignorance, what the hell else can you do but dissolve in a big puddle of TisToLaugh?

God, I love listening to this guy. Not only is he saying everything I wish I could say, he's doing it on national television. Hell, he calls Bush a coward point-blank. Plain-speaking and relentless.

And am I loving Bill Clinton just now? You bet your ass I am. I've always liked him, he was a wonderful president, and the shit that's been said about him by these asswipe troglodytes has always pissed me off. So to hear him finally say all the things he must have been thinking for nearly ten years now is unbelievably cathartic. (Just imagine how it must feel for him!)

And he was so eloquent and precise even in that moment of anger. It was embarrassing, frankly, to listen to this man and compare him with the friggin' baboon that's in the White House now, who can barely hold a sentence together and actually believes he's god-chosen. The same thing happened when I watched Spain's President Aznar on a Spanish talk show a couple of years ago - I wanted to melt into a little puddle of shame at how intelligent, knowledgable and erudite that man was, and at the realization of how our country must look to the world, with such a deluded moron at our head. It's...just too painful.

So don't believe fuck-all about the whole "Clinton explodes!" bullshit. He was focused, intense and given a chance to call those Fox assholes on their bullshit, he took it with both hands and was spectacular. I hope you can watch that clip, because the transcript, as good as it is, just doesn't get across the experience of watching him go off on his detractors.

I do so miss that man.

The utter arrogance of this administration is getting worse, the worse their public image becomes. Let's hope they keep this up, because with luck they'll end up embittering the American public so completely that the whole neo-conservative movement will die a well-deserved death, and this country will go back to some form of sanity again.
