Riding my little coracle down the stream-of-consciousness, I often come across interesting bits of stuff. Just now, on contemplating the idea of Gandalf urging Denthor to light the beacons of Gondor, my image of Gandalf shifted and he uttered the line, "Are you gonna light those things, or not?"

Gandalf was suddently Wilford Brimley.

Now I can't get this out of my head. Gandalf's all rotund with this hangdog mustache, and these little gold-rimmed glasses, and he's saying stuff like "You know, I rode that horse three hundred miles to get here, and it's a real fine horse, but now you're gonna cut the crap and pay attention!"

I am sore afflicted. *woe*
