Writing Rei

You are all familiar with the lovely LOTR-themed pictures created by Rei at mucun. Many of us have loved her work for years, and have wanted to find a way to show our appreciation.

So the writing_rei_cm community was formed as a space for paying tribute to dear Rei. There some of us who write LOTR fic have started posting ficlets written about specific pictures she has drawn. What with her prodigious output, it's not hard to find inspiration, as her pictures tell such lovely stories. (See my icon for an example of her illustrative finesse.)

If you are intrigued, please pop by and check out what's up so far. If anyone else feels inspired to write for the community, it would be great to see more! And please feel free to spread the word if you like. The more, the merrier! :)
