It's such fun being a Solstice Fairy!

I'm feeling pretty darned good right now.

The past two and a half months have been quite a whirlwind, as far as this goes. It's been a wonderful adventure. So much fun making contact with so many great people, and seeing all that love and affection flowing out towards a lady who truly deserves it. And it was great enjoyment getting to go to Sean's signing with an honest-to-Goddess PURPOSE (other than simple fangirling, of course). Almost made me feel like an adult there. Almost. Of course, Sean's sweet smile and attention turned me into a teenager for about 5 1/2 seconds, but we'll ignore that.

Thanks to everyone who participated, and thanks to all of you who didn't, but were restrained and generous enough not to let the cat out of the bag. I'm very proud to be a member of a fandom that can offer so much love and good wishes in a circumstance like this. And like others - I've been heartened again and again, seeing how much folks in this fandom can care about each other, especially the Seanies. Something about him just draws lovely people, it seems. Probably because he's such a sweetheart himself.

Okay, okay. Enough schmoop.

IN OTHER NEWS: I went to Suncoast today and picked up my FREE* copy of the ROTK EE today. Yay! And because it was preordered and prepaid, and I was second in line when the store opened, I got a really nifty keen deck of LOTR playing cards, illustrated with Alan Lee's drawings! These are extremely cool. They're apparently a promo item for the DVDs, so not for sale in stores. (If you see them on eBay, you should pick 'em up.) I shall scan the cards some time this week so you all can see them.

My temp job is very nice and non-stressful.

Casey has settled into life with me rather well. We get on quite comfortably, except for when she starts going on her weird kitty tears around the house. But she hasn't caused any damage or done anything pissy (literally or figuratively) yet. She seems like a good soul, and I'm very happy she's here.

And like that. I am now going to heat up a mug of Trader Joe's Spicy Cider, and go take a trip to Middle Earth, complete with comfy pillows and blankie, and a box of Kleenex. I fully expect to be a wreck once I'm back.
