Thank you, Goddess! That I've lived to see the day that somebody, somebody, finally excoriated Bush TO HIS FACE. Bless you, Stephen, for having all the balls that the media has lost over the last six years. (Well, not all, it's true. Helen Thomas never lost hers. But then, she's an ol' fart, so she doesn't give a flying fuck what the Bushies think about her!)
This is the beautiful power of comedy, of satire, of irony. Saying things like this in a frontal attack doesn't work, because they're always ready to rebut with their tired talking points. But what in the world can they do with someone like Colbert? Well sir, it looks like the mainstream press is doing the only thing it can do, given their humiliation - they're ignoring him. Not a WORD about this glorious pantsing has been heard outside of the internet. Talk about a bunch of cowards. *rolls eyes*
You know, if Colbert wasn't already married, he'd have no trouble at all getting laid after that performance. I for one would happily throw myself at his feet and kiss his shiny shoes. *mwah mwah mwah*
