Does anybody here use Trillian?

I've just installed it because I've heard it's a good program. But I'm going nuts trying to understand how to add a contact. I keep trying, but every time I get to the page where you're supposed to type in the contact's name, the box is grayed out, and the pull-down above it says "No connections online". No shit! I KNOW there aren't any online - that's why I want to to add them!

I tried going to the Trillian help site, but it's no help at all. Does anybody out there know how to do this?

hehe - it means none of YOUR connections are online - i.e., you haven't signed online yet. Go to the Trillian menu up top, click on Connections, Manage my connections - set them up there, and hit connect for them

Not quite. Maybe I'm not making myself clear. I want to add a contact, as in somebody else's ID so I can communicate with them. I already have my own Yahoo ID in there.

I switched from Trillian to Miranda some time ago (I use portable Miranda on a pen drive for work and travel), and damned if I can remember now!

I had trillian at one point, but ... it confused me too much and I got rid of it. Sorry -- no help1 ;-)

OK - but was your Yahoo *connected*? Did you see a full yellow light right above your buddy list?
