.
Just recently I've become addicted to documentaries. (Thank Netflix for that one!) I hardly ever watch fictional films anymore, because there's so much to know about in the real world.
So I keep my radar primed for any good docs that come along. Today, over on Glenn Greenwald's column at Salon.com, Pam Spaulding reviews a new one:
For The Bible Tells Me So
Reconciling homosexuality and the Bible
This looks very interesting! I'm definitely going to see it. Choice quotes include:
"There's nothing wrong with a fifth-grade understanding of God...as long as you're in the fifth grade."
"It tells us in Leviticus that it is an abomination to eat shrimp." (Note that one for the next fundie that buttonholes you about gay issues.)
"Like Goebbels said, working for Hitler, you tell a lie enough times and people will believe it."
