I am so DELIRIOUSLY HAPPY that Jon and Stephen are back! *hugs them both*

And you know, I do not miss the writers AT ALL. Yeah, the cute correspondent segments aren't there, but my main interest has always been Jon and Stephen themselves, and SURPRISE! They're actually funny on their own. Odd, that. Wouldn't expect guys who've been doing standup for ten or twenty years to be able to make jokes off the cuff, would you?

I loved the bit where last night, Jon said "this wasn't written! We're just saying whatever comes across our mind as we watch these things!"

Well, duh, he's SMART and funny. You could always tell that when he did interviews and would get the zingers across.

I certainly noticed the lack of writers, some parts of the shows dragged a bit. But Jon is at his best doing interviews, and I like that he is able to do longer ones. Stephen's interviews, not so much. I do miss "The Word" on his show.

Interesting that John Oliver is not allowed to strike, presumably because he is here on a work visa. Hmmmm, maybe the networks should hire a bunch of illegal Mexicans to write our sitcoms and dramas so we can all watch our favorite shows...

On the other hand, I think I'll just stick with A Daily Show and The ColberT ReporT, and the complete Frasier series DVDs I'm watching.

I'm kicking myself because somehow I managed to forget they were back on this week.

Damn!

I can upload the episodes to MU if you like, so you can download them.
