Here's something amusing for a Sunday:
Ten who tasted Greatness - and choked on it
It's a list of also-rans. Ten guys who almost became legends, but lost out due to different reasons: accidents, bad judgment or general asshattery. My favorite? General Horatio Gates - "One of those rare military leaders who call in sick before a major battle (really)".
