Killer Queen - Queen
I swear, I don't think there is anything guaranteed to throw me back to my teenage years more than a Queen song. I was a STONE fan. Had all their albums, wore the black polish (left hand only, of course). Dressed in satin and velvet (this back in the 70's, when the uniform was jeans and work shirts). Went to see them at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, and then again at the LA Forum - the two big rock venues at the time. Freddie Mercury was so hot. *sigh*
It was fangirling these guys and reading Faggots by Larry Kramer that that set my mind for homosexuality as a perfectly legitimate way of being. (Being the daughter of theater people didn't hurt either.) With all of that, when I started coming across the whole EWWWWHATEHATEHATE attitude about gayness I was extremely perplexed. Never could understand it, myself.
Watch the vid. These guys ROCKED.
