Midnight Media Cafe - Stand and Deliver

A change of direction:
Stand and Deliver - Adam and the Ants
What's the point of robbery when nothing is worth taking?
First of all, SHUT UP.
Second, okay, he's crap at lip-synching. But such style! I found Adam very sexy and liberating when I encountered his music back in the 80's, what with his costumes and war paint and songs about pride and personal style and hot fucking. Plus, he was a very hot presence onstage, believe me. (Got to see him at a club gig here in L.A. during his heyday.)
This song is a hotness, especially since I've always had a soft spot for the poem The Highwayman.
Yum.

Date: Wednesday, February 11th, 2009 04:32 pm (UTC)If you haven't seen Marie Antoinette (Sofia Coppola's version, with Kirsten Dunst), I highly recommend it. Coppola deliberately had one of the male characters costumed to look like Adam Ant in the Stand & Deliver video. :D
