To all Slash Writers - Vocabulary
Tuesday, April 6th, 2004 12:18 amPlease take note:
Taunt means "to tease in a degrading manner, to bait a person into conflict". The French Soldiers taunted King Arthur mercilessly.
Taut means "pulled tight, under tension". Sam's knots pulled Frodo's arms taut against the headboard.
The wrong one rather changes the meaning of the sentence. So get it right.
That is all.
