I've always been very fond of this song. If you haven't heard it, do give a listen. It's surprisingly cheerful and jaunty despite the morbid lyrics.

And if you haven't seen the film, oh you MUST. It's a classic. Directed by Brian De Palma, it's a mad, witty, sarcastic parody of the music business in the 70's, combining the story of Faust, The Phantom of the Opera and The Picture of Dorian Gray. The forerunner of all those pretentious rock videos of the 80's, it's stuffed with really wonderful music as well as some marvelous performances, not least of which is Gerrit Graham as a shrill drama queen of a heavy metal/glam rocker.
