My Casey, having a nice sleep. Not a recent photo, but she hasn't changed hardly at all over the years.

I had a scare with her recently. She started vomiting up all her food about a week ago. For a whole day and night, no matter what or how little I gave her, it all came back up. Then she wouldn't eat at all for a couple of days. I was just about to take her to the vet when she decided to have breakfast on the fourth day, and then she was okay after that. I figure she must have eaten something outdoors that REALLY didn't agree with her. She got kind of skinny over those few days, and is now putting the weight back on.

I bet you were frightened out of your mind. I am so happy there was a happy results. Casey is beautiful! I love her coat! Is she what they call a 'rag doll' kitty?

I wasn't really frightened, at least not at first. I just got real worried. She has incidents of throwing up every couple of months, but it's usually just once. A vet nurse I used to know told me that by their evolution, cats are actually only supposed to eat around every two days, not twice a day (or more) like we feed them, which is why it's so easy to end up with a fat cat. So if she misses a meal or two I don't get hung up on it. But this was worse than I'd ever seen it before!

I've never heard the term "rag-doll" cat. I don't know what breed she is, as she was an abandoned kitten that my sister-in-law connected me up with. She is very beautiful and fluffy, and a really nice cat all around.

I did some research and the 'ragdoll' has the 'points', like a siamese but a long shaggy coat and a fluffy tail. So your beauty is not a ragdoll, but still a beautiful fluffy sleeping kitty.

Poor kitty :(((( I'm so glad that she's all better now. Casey is an adorable cat. I love her fluffy tail! And her paws!
