The fanfic meme
Sunday, October 17th, 2004 09:07 pm*sigh*
I don't usually post things like this, but I'm feeling like I need a little boost at the moment. Maybe I'm just tired. ;p
Anyway, here's the set of questions. Considering that I don't range around much in subject matter (or that I've written that much at all), this may be a bit futile. But I'd really like to know anyway, so if anyone's into it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
1. What is/are your favorite(s) fic by me?
2. What is/are your favorite(s) series by me?
3. What is/are your favorite(s) chararacters that I write?
4. What is/are the characters or situations you wish I'd try writing some time that I've never attempted?
5. What is/are the characters or situations I've written that you wish I'd write more often?
6. What do you like about my writing?
7. What was the first fic by me that you read?
8. What canon character have you enjoyed the most as I write him/her/it?
9. What original character (if any) from me have you enjoyed the most?
*bites nails nervously*

Date: Friday, October 22nd, 2004 09:46 pm (UTC)3. Well, Frodo, of course. Hee. Duh!
4. Hmm... That's very tough and I hesitate to answer it because you already provide such lovelies that asking for something different would seem ungrateful.
5. Ah, that's an easy one - Frodo het!
6. It's both lilting and vivid. I never have to guess what you're getting at - you make it all very clear in your imagery and through your characters.
7. 'I'll Have No More Of It'
8. Frodo again. *blush*
9. Erm... Sorry. I don't remember any.
And quit biting your nails! [/mom]

Date: Saturday, October 23rd, 2004 08:43 am (UTC)First of all, you sound down. Here's a hug if you want it. *hug*
Forthwith.
1. "I'll Have No More Of It". Because it's so *right*, and because without it I might never have had the courage to write about Rosie and think anyone would read it.
(This narrowly beat out several others including "The Taste of Salt", "Reunion", "On the Eve of Sunreturn" and, of course, "A Dream in the Black Land")
3. Sam and Elijah. I just really like what you do with both of them, but then I love what you do with their counterparts as well.
4. Looking at "Invitation", I'd love to see more of how you flesh out those characters we know only from genealogical charts.
5. "Understand"so got under my skin that it's going to rate a mention in a story I'm currently writing. I think I'd like to see more of your Pippin, and/or of your interspecies.
6. Unflinching honesty combined with remarkable lyricism.
7. I dunno. I think I read all your WotM hobbitslash tales in a lump one day.
8. Samwise Gamgee.
9. I want to have a beer with the narrator of "Winegod" and giggle and squee with her.
