So, um... I'm going to ORC.

After my half-hearted little post the other day, princessofg went on a little campaign, and I opened my email box after a couple of days and found notices from Paypal amounting to enough money for a Wizard's Circle ticket!!

My mind is now blown. This is so sweet. Thank you so very very much, lunarising and blackbird_song and Princess! Also, many thanks to the other user who sent money - you didn't tell me your LJ name, so I don't know who you are, but I send you a huge hug anyway, and hope I will meet you at the con!

So, it looks like I'll be joining in this madness with the rest of you. Yikes. I haven't been to a con in years. But it'll be great fun, I'm sure, and I'm hoping I'll meet up with enough of you to keep me from doing my usual wallflower thing and fading into the woodwork. (Believe it or not, it's very hard for me to put myself out at all when I don't know anybody. I just tend to walk around silently, because I'm something of a social coward when I'm alone.)

But I am looking forward to this now. A chance to meet folks, and squee and obsess. Oh and of course, a chance to completely humiliate myself in front of actors whom I greatly admire. Oh joy...

Thank you - just made that one, and love it, too. Yes - I have an unmarred copy. Would be happy to email it. (the orig of the Frodo pic from which *this* icon is made has one of those dreadful complicated watermarks. Grr. At least his face and hands were salvageable - though it is the wonderful, determined posture that I'd have loved to have had.)
