Did you notice the tiny little gal licking the man's leg? I did and I think these small figures were meant to represent servants. The erotic carvings come from one of the temples at Khajuraho in India and are famous. Many are quite beautiful but some are bestial and show all manners of weird and wonderful couplings! The images (and there are hundreds) are said to show how sex becomes love in its purest form or something approaching this. Of course there is also the other theory that they were meant to show young men, who had been kept away from women so that they could study, what to do!
