His muscles sing to the rhythm of the water, legs planted in delicate, constantly shifting balance, arms held in a just-so ballet, strong through the racing air. The great diamond-silver wall rises to his right as he rushes along, the board slicing a wound in the wave, speeding to jump the exit before the ocean claims him in its violent embrace. Salt, salt, salt air, freezing and scrubbing his lungs, all friction gone now, like a great black and gold dolphin he dances along the curve, eternal transitory curve of space, his flesh all shining sapphire velocity, eyes enchanted by the brilliant sunsparks that twirl and call, call him with the naiads' voices, "Come, come, comeā¦"

Having been slapped in the face by Aphrodite again, I'm feeling antsy. Even though it looks like my Muse is not going to get me writing with this new fandom, finding things that were written years ago that actually fit now is kind of amazing and fun. ;)
