Well I live just north of Ohio and my brother lives in Dayton, so I've been there a few times. Plus, when you live in Michigan, just about anytime you want to go south, you have to go through some part of Ohio!

I second addie's comment. I live in the same area. Ohio is the boringest state to drive through. Flat and uninteresting, until you get to the very south where it drops down toward the Ohio river when you're about to cross out. We used to call it "perpetual fucking Ohio" when we were tired driving north to home, and it didn't seem like it was going to ever end.

Edited to add: They have toll roads, which are annoying to people from Michigan where there are no toll roads. However, they are nicely kept up. (Most roads seem nicely kept up compared to what we have to drive on in Michigan. I swear, no lie, one time I was coming home and as I crossed the state line, the pavement dropped an inch or two and it knocked my muffler off. Welcome to Michigan.)

I lived just outside Cleveland for about two years back in 1977. Really liked it. Ask any Northern Ohio questions.
P.S. Best chinese restaurant I ever ate at is in Independence Ohio, about 10 minutes west of Cleveland (and I lived in SF for 19 years, so I'm picky about chinese)
