Very good start. Vanessa's intro was deeply personal for me, so they hooked me right off. They've given her a deep well to climb out of, which is how she seems to start every season, poor woman.

Looking forward to more of Ethan, gotta say. Clearly they're saving up his story for the next episode. The new characters are looking good. I will watch anything Wes Studi is in, so that makes me very happy. (I actually squealed when I saw his name on the cast list a couple of months ago.) On tenterhooks about the boy's daddy, as Logan is obviously having a lot of fun drawing that particular tease out. (Still bummed they didn't get Jeff Bridges.)

And the new doctor. My, my. How about that vibe between them? Wouldn't you like to know what went on in THAT dorm room? And ain't he pretty? I wonder how his myth will be integrated into the story? How will Hyde manifest? So many questions...

Yes, very nice. Though my filthy heart is pining to see some more lovely flesh. The show seems to pivoting away from wild fuckery, more's the pity. *sigh* Still though, we must not lose hope...

Vanessa breaks my heart. She's so tortured, but so strong too. Seeing her struggling beneath the weight of such depression and pain was so sad. I was happy when she pulled herself together enough to go and see the doctor. Love Patti Lupone, so I'm enjoying their scenes together.

I love Wes Studi too. He's always been beautiful, and he's aging very well, I think. it was great to see him approach Sir Malcolm. And they're going to go after Ethan. Can't wait to see that happen.

The studly Dr. had some wonderful moments with Victor, didn't he? And there was all kinds of sexual tension going on with them. Don't know if it was deliberate, or they just have that much chemistry.

And that introduction of Dracula, using just that voice, was thrilling.

Eva Greene is amazing. And LuPone's return is great, too.

Very pleased by how they're drawing Malcolm back in via Ethan's story. Seems they're being tied in close together. A triad of opposing fathers is forming over this one wayward boy. I am SO itching to know about Dad. Is he a werewolf? Is it genetic, or did it come from an attack, and did Dad have anything to do with it? Something is making Ethan hate him and fear him. Damn, they better have chosen someone good for that role.

And yes, there is definitely something going between the two doctors. I don't think there's been a spark between two people that hasn't ended up being acted upon in this show. So there's something going down there, some history. I'm wondering if Hyde has anything to do with it. How long has he existed, and how much does Victor know? There's this weight between them, secrets. Very intriguing. (How many fanfics do you think have been posted already?)

I just saw Mystery Men again recently, and he cracked me up. What a great character. Studi got the deadpan Holy Man vibe perfect. I kept wondering how the others kept from punching him every time he opened his mouth.

Ah, but that is not Hyde. That's Jekyll. We've yet to meet Hyde. I'm dying to know how Logan intends to present that character. Does Hyde exist yet? Does Victor know about him? *shiver*
