Does anyone here know how to block page elements?

Over on Wonkette, which is a site I love, they've started loading these HORRIBLE video ads from something called Wibbitz. The fucking things just sit there loading endlessly without ever showing up, and they slow the pages down to a crawl, to a point where it's almost impossible to comment or see what's happening in the comments.

Does anyone know how to block this thing? Greasemonkey is supposed to be good for that kind of things, but FUCK ALL if I can figure out how to use the fucking thing. The only thing I can find is "go here and look for scripts"? But I have NO FUCKING IDEA what I'm looking for or how to find it or how to use it or WHATEVER.

Is there anyone here who can just tell me WHAT TO DO? Without airily waving me at some database and expecting me to know what the fuck I'm supposed to be looking for? Because this is really ruining my experience at Wonkette, and I do want to be able to keep posting there.

I use something called AdblockPlus, and it seems to block all ads on Wonkette. You can get it at https://adblockplus.org. It's free and requires no special set-up, but you can play around with it quite a lot if you want. Should it not block the video ads, you can try right-clicking the ad, and Adblock should offer you to block this element. (Basically, it lets you block and unblock a lot of stuff individually for each site you visit, but that's just if you want to play around :o) )

Do you use Chrome? If so, install the app Ghostery. I can't live without it.
