Feeling some low-level pissoff here...

OK, folks. A little post on basic civility. Not "netiquette", just plain GOOD MANNERS. Are we sitting comfortably? Good.
1. If you promise something, make good on it.
If someone has asked for help and you asserted your willingness to do so, DO IT. Either that or own up and explain why you can't. Don't just ignore emails and pretend you never said anything. It's selfish and philistine.
2. If someone apologizes, acknowledge it.
Everybody makes mistakes. If someone has said something you don't like, or stepped over the line in some way, and you've let them know, and they've apologized, have some graciousness and ACKNOWLEDGE IT. Let them know you received the apology and that things are ok. Don't just pretend nothing ever happened, because I guarantee you it'll only give the impression that you're either still angry or a snotty bitch.
That's all I want to bitch about at the moment. I'm sure other items will be added to the list eventually (though I wish that weren't true). Just remember: courtesy is the grease that helps the wheels of life turn smoothly. People appreciate being treated decently. It takes a little effort, but then, most worthwhile things in this life do.

Oh, I love passive aggressiveness.
