The original pic showed up on Variety.com. I cleaned it up some - stripped the text, smoothed and played with color, etc.
If you'd like to use the image, that's cool. I'd appreciate a GIP post and credit. :)

Monday, February 2nd, 2004 04:43 pmCouldn're resist this one, either. This is from today's Hollywood Reporter. It's an FYC ad for the Best Adapted Screenplay award (Fran, Philippa and PJ), and the quote on the ad is:
I'm glad that you are with me, Samwise Gamgee.
Here at the end of all things.
How is it that I can see these films so many times and still get torn up about the goings-on? Do I have some kind of adult brain doo-hicky all out of whack?
P.S. OK, I made some wallpapers of this one, too. Included the original formatting of the quote from the Oscar ad, just moved up a bit to fit.

GIP, a Hobbity Gift, and some apologies

A two-page spread with the thank-yous from New Line for all the Oscar noms on the other page. I found it fitting and a little eyebrow-raising that they chose a pic of Elijah, the lead ACTOR for this ad. Think New Line might be a bit miffed on that score? ;)
Next up, I thought the icon image would make a great wallpaper, so here it is for you all:

That pic of Dom with the eyeliner still gets me mesmerized. There's just something about it - he looks most evil and hot. So I whipped up this icon.
There are two terms the illustrious Spike and I use to describe ideal lovers - fuckbunny and monkeyboy.
A fuckbunny has endless enthusiasm for sex. Usually young (in fact, it's a condition that gets creepier the older a guy is), preferably cute. Gods, yes, very preferably.
Whereas, a monkeyboy has natural talent. Never needs to be guided or prompted. Spike defines him as "a guy who knows exactly what to do with his hands".
Either of these is a wonderful thing. Put 'em together in one guy and well...they'll find you the next day with the top of your head blown off from the fireworks!
