Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday!

Spike took me out for a day at Disneyland, which I haven't done in several years. I was delighted to find out that, although she had been there a couple of times, circumstances had kept her from going on any but a couple of the rides, so not only did I get to run around like a kid, I also got to introduce her to the giddy joys of flying among the stars; grooving in a weird acid-trip forest; partying with dancing ghosts; getting hijacked by an incompetent spacecraft pilot; being serenaded by birds, flowers and carved wooden idols; and madcap archaeological treasure-chasing.

We didn't get to drink rum, rape and pillage and burn, me hearties, yoho! But we did get to eat pickles and mediocre pizza, and look at dinosaurs.

And we did a lot of laughing.

Oh, and a duck flew by and crapped on our heads.


Afterwards, we came back to my house, ate fast food, smoked some (more) weed and watched Galaxy Quest, one of the funniest movies ever made.


All in all, a pretty wonderful day, in my estimation.

We went on Space Mountain, but other than a little spiffing up at the beginning, it was the same as always, as far as I could see. And riding on it this time confirmed something that I've been suspecting: I am done with rollercoasters. My stomach objected mightily, and it just flattened me energy out completely. Luckily it was already late in the day, so we left soon after.
