A little PSA post
Sunday, July 30th, 2006 12:23 pmSome of you may have noticed that Sudafed and other such nasal decongestants are being taken off the shelves at supermarkets, and will only be available behind pharmacy counters, and in some states will require prescriptions. While the whole meth problem makes these moves understandable, it can be rather a pain to deal with. There's a new class of decongestants on the market but professionals are saying they don't work.
Which is why I will now recommend to you the very best decongestant I have ever used. It works incredibly well and is natural to boot. So no refined chemicals!
It's called Goldenseal. It is the dried root of the Goldenseal plant, and you can get it either in capsules or in bulk from health food stores. You can also buy it online. Besides being an awesome decongestant, it has many other wonderful properties.
The only caveat in my experience is that you have to be careful not to take too much. But seeing as how the decongestant effects last about 8 hours per dose, you wouldn't be taking enough to cause any problems.
Really, this is great stuff. It'll dry all that gunk in your sinsues right up; I was amazed the first time I tried it. I always try to take naturopathic remedies whenever I can, provided they work, of course. (Not all natural rememdies work as well as they're purported to, I've found.) And this is one I can heartily recommend. :)
