This and that
Monday, August 21st, 2006 06:42 pmMy stomach hurts. Like, really.
The Fauntling is a truly rockin' little dude. He giggles and laughs at everything, is quick and smart and way good-natured. What few tantrums I've seen him pull are easy to jolly him out of, and he's learning English with a will. I'm gonna miss having the little guy around.
Tomorrow is the last day of my current work assignment, and I'm glad. Even though there's internet and all, it's kind of a depressing office. Not unpleasant or regimented or anything, just not a very happy place. Bleh.
Today in the parking garage, while I was rummaging through my briefcase looking for my keys, I found...a baggie of weed. WTF? I do not remember stowing that there, but then there are a lot of things I'm forgetting these days. But a bag of weed? Damn. (Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but I gotta worry a little when I start forgetting things like that.)
I must say I'm a little sad and hurt to have been left out of this Hobbit Month thing. I'm seeing people I've been LJing with for a few years now in on it, but nary a peep did I ever hear. Maybe it's because I haven't been writing fic much lately, but it would have been nice to have been asked. *pout*
Okay, enough of that. Wednesday is Take The Fauntling To Disneyland Day. That will be fun. That is, if this fucking stomach ache ever goes away, which I'm beginning to wonder about.
Oh, and Snakes on a Plane? WAY fun. True, the fun was mostly in being in the audience, but nobody ever said it was going to be a good movie, for gods' sakes. I was just into seeing it, and a great evening was had by all!

Now go put that weed away somewhere safe. ;)

Date: Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 03:05 am (UTC)Honey, I'd love to go see a flick with you. I did a lot of jumping and screaming at this one, mainly because I was so amped up for the show. Heehee!
And the weed? Is. Very. Safe. Because that was just too weird. (But fortuitous!)

Date: Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 04:42 am (UTC)I want desperately to see Snakes on a Plane! It sounds like great fun if seen with the right audience, and I wish I could have seen it with you. You would have been the perfect person with whom to share the experience!
I do hope that your stomach feels better, soon. Have fun with the Fauntling! (And the weed, but that's a whole 'nother story...)
